Update

Elliott continues to grow so quickly! His first tooth is almost in on the bottom. He looks so precious and cute when he smiles. He now knows how to stand up and move along. He walked from one end of the couch to the other end with no problem today.

Elliott amazes me every day. I feel so privileged to get to be here with him to watch him. I know I am biased, but he seems to be such a smart little boy. I enjoy watching him as he thinks through things. His sweet face looks so alert as he focuses on tasks that might not seem like a big deal, but they are for him. He will look over at me with this questioning look on his face after he completes a task (like putting a block in his giraffe toy) to see if I will clap and cheer for him. After that, he gives me a big smile. Here are a few recent pictures of our blessing.

9 months and a tooth

Elliott is now 9 months and 1 day old. What?! That is hard to believe. He can scoot (crawl) around the house super fast now and will be in the next room if I turn my back for a second. He likes "ride a little cowboy" and "falling down" at the end. He giggles like crazy.

Big news: his first tooth came in today! We have noticed he has been more fussy lately and chewing on everything, including us. It is still really small right now but pretty sharp. Weird fact: I can hear it, also, when the spoon taps on it while he is eating. Here are a few pics of my little love bug.

Reasons Elliott is crying...

1. The tag on Elliott's pants won't come off even when he keeps pulling on it.

2. Elliott can't pull open the door to get out of the bedroom because he is sitting in front of and blocking the very same door.

3. Mommy's bow is attached to her slippers and won't come off when Elliott pulls on it.

4. Annyong runs off when Elliott crawls after him, face plants on him, and screams like a pterodactyl in his face.

Super Sunday

We had a great day as a family! Elliott was so sweet and silly all day. He spent a lot of the time tackling his Daddy and Mommy and giving us big, wet "kisses." He also talked or was making some sort of noise all day long, much to Annyong's dislike. Haha!

He started to pull up almost to a standing position and not just to his knees. He, of course, started this while I was giving him his tubby time. He did it later when he was pulling up on the couch to see his sweet Daddy. I so enjoy seeing them together. They already have a special relationship that I am blessed to be able to witness.

Here are two pictures of Elliott pulling up to see me when I was on the couch. Have I mentioned lately how much I love love this little boy?! ❤️❤️

Family pics

This boy...

This sweet boy gets sillier and sweeter every day. I love to just sit and watch him thinking and playing.

He has started "talking" pretty much constantly while he goes about his business, which involves playing with anything and everything in sight whether that be toys, cat food, the cat water fountain, curtains, magazines, slippers, remote controls, the dish washer, kitchen cabinets and drawers, his gas drops bottle, pots and pans, my hair brush etc.

He also has discovered his pterodactyl voice, which he shares whenever he sees Annyong. He gets so excited about seeing his kitty. He crawls and moves those little legs as fast as he can to catch up with his furry friend. Annyong is good about letting Elliott's "gentle hands" pet him to a point, but he puts a stop to that play time quite often.

My silly goose likes to peep his cute face up when he sits in the floor and I'm on the couch with a huge grin on his face. This Mommy's heart just melts.

Speaking of melting hearts, let's talk about little Elliott's hugs whenever I pick him up. Ah! He squeezes as hard as his little arms can squeeze and burries his baby smooth cheeks into my neck, face, hair or wherever he can.

He likes to crawl on top of us and face plant wherever he can while he makes his cute noises or does a full belly laugh while his hair sticks out everywhere. He sometimes treats us like a speed bump and will crawl right over us on his way to his next adventure. He likes to play with his Daddy on the floor. His Daddy holds him up in the air, and his little legs just kick away while he smiles and giggles. I so enjoy watching my sweet boys playing together!

I cannot even express the way he makes me feel. That boy is so so precious to me, and I am tremendously blessed to be his Mommy. We were told he might have a disability when I was pregnant, and later my doctor had some serious concerns over his growth. After all of that, we were blessed many times over with a healthy, happy boy who brightens up our lives and pushes us to be the best people and parents we can be. I love that precious boy so very much!

Tubby time hairdo

Chuck gave Elliott a "stylish" hairdo during tubby time today. Here is a picture of the end result.

Past 30 minutes

Recap of the last thirty minutes:
1. I found mashed up peas from lunch in Elliott's jammies. He threw this "pea pancake" on me.
2. Before I could get a diaper on him after tubby time, he crawled off in a half hanging off onesie to his closet, pulled up on a box of diapers, and proceeded to pee on them while he watched.
3. While I was cleaning up said pee, he crawled off diaperless and half dressed to under the kitchen table where I caught him about to eat a cold, hidden lima bean from lunch.
4. This picture happened. ;)
I love this always entertaining boy who makes me laugh!

Food!

Elliott is a fan of his banana oatmeal cereal! He enjoys not just eating it but also using it as hair gel and as a facial scrub. He has also gotten much better at feeding himself, despite what this picture implies!
